Greetings from La Cruz

We fished along the way and we hooked a 4 foot Wahoo that promptly spit out its hook as soon as we were going to gaff it. Check out the pics if you do not believe us. We also hooked a snapper that we threw back, as we had not way to get the scales off of it. The weird thing is that a Snapper would even bite on a trolling rig?!?
La Cruz is a small town just north of Puerto Vallarta. There are about 30 other cruisers anchored here. Some boats stay here all winter at anchor.
As we pulled in, we saw our friends Neil and Jackie from S/V Voyager, who we had not seen since Mazatlan. We also saw other boats that we had not seen since Cabo. Neil and Jackie took us in to town in their dinghy, as the landing here is a little sketchy because there is breaking surf all across the entrance. They took us to an English pub where there was open mic night and all the locals and sailors show up to play music
As for the afternoon, we are staying aboard because tomorrow morning we are heading over to Nuevo Vallarta to moor up in Paradise Village Marina for one month. Check out the link on the lower right side of this page and you can check it out.
See you in Paradise!!
Tom and Amy
