And were off... We are officially on our way on this one way trip to the Maldives after leaving the Similan Islands at 10am this morning. We got a late start as we had to get Sandpiper secure for sea, mostly tying everything down to the deck and getting the dinghy deflated and stowed on deck. We ran the engine for an hour to top our off the batteries and are now sailing with the wind right off the stern at 10 knots. The jib is poled out to starboard with Sandpiper's main out to port making 4.5 knots. Hope the wind holds!
